Στην αμερικανική αγορά το Nissan Murano είναι ένα από τα δημοφιλέστερα Murano και στο 3ο κεφάλαιο της πορείας του θα κάνει την πρώτη του επίσημη εμφάνιση στο κοινό της έκθεσης της Νέα Υόρκης. Με επιρροές από το πρωτότυπο Resonance, η σχεδίαση του αμαξώματος ξεχωρίζει από την επιβλητική «V-shape» μάσκα με τα ιδιόμορφα φωτιστικά σώματα ενώ ένα πιο μυώδες στιλ προσδίδουν τα φουσκωμένα φτερά (ειδικά τα πίσω).

Το νέο Murano είναι ελαφρώς χαμηλότερο, φαρδύτερο και μακρύτερο από το μοντέλο που αντικαθιστά ενώ το εσωτερικό συνάδει με την σύγχρονη αντίληψη της εταιρίας όπου συναντάμε ψηφιακό πίνακα οργάνων και μία μεγάλη οθόνη αφής στην κεντρική κονσόλα. Ο τεχνολογικός εξοπλισμός θα είναι πλούσιος με διάφορα συστήματα ασφάλειας και άνεσης.

από πλευράς κινητήρων αρχικά αναμένεται ο βενζινοκινητήρας V6 των 3,5 λίτρων με τους 270 ίππους με αυτόματη μετάδοση X-Tronic. Το νέο Murano θα κατασκευάζεται στο εργοστάσιο της Nissan στο Μισισίπη ενώ δεν αποκλείεται αργότερα να το δούμε και στους ευρωπαϊκούς δρόμους με μικρότερα σε χωρητικότητα μηχανικά σύνολα.
