WRC – Ράλλυ Μόντε Κάρλο: O Ogier επικράτησε του Neuville!

Σε έναν συναρπαστικό αγώνα ο έξι φορές πρωταθλητής και η ξεκίνησαν με το δεξί την φετινή σεζόν…

O Ogier έφτασε στην 7η νίκη του στο Monte Carlo (με 3 διαφορετικές ομάδες) και στην 6η του σερί μετά από ένα ράλι που θύμιζε παλιές καλές εποχές. Από την πρώτη μέρα ο Ogier με Citroen C3 WRC είχε ξεκινήσει ιδανικά αλλά πάντοτε με την πίεση του Neuville.

Η μάχη ήταν μεγάλη και για την 3η θέση ανάμεσα στους Loeb, Latvala και Tanak με τον Εσθονό (με Toyota Yaris WRC) τελικά να είναι αυτός που ανέβηκε στο βάθρο. O Loeb (Hyundai i20 WRC) τερμάτισε στην 4η θέση της γενικής με τα Toyota των Latvala και Meeke να συμπληρώνουν την 6άδα.

Στο κανονικό αγώνα η διαφορά ανάμεσα στον Ogier και στον Neuville ήταν μόλις 0,4 δλ. Ωστόσο, ο Ogier ήταν ταχύτερος στην Power Stage (που νίκησε ο Meeke) με τελική διαφορά γενικής κατάτακης στα 2,2 δλ. από τον εξίσου εξαιρετικό Neuville με την Hyundai να δείχνει και φέτος πόσο δυνατή είναι. Αυτή πάντως ήταν η πιο μικρή διαφορά τερματισμού που έχει γίνει στο Monte Carlo. Επόμενος αγώνας στις 14-17 Φεβρουαρίου στην Σουηδία.
