Αυτές τις μέρες το επίκεντρο της παγκόσμιας αυτοκίνησης βρίσκεται στην έκθεση του Τόκιο όπου η Nissan παρουσίασε το ενδιαφέρον πρωτότυπο IMx Crossover…

Σχεδιαστικά το πρωτότυπο της Nissan έχει μερικές ενδιαφέρουσες ιδέες (όπως για παράδειγμα η τεράστια γυάλινη οροφή που διατρέχει όλο το αμάξωμα) ενώ υπάρχουν και κάποια στοιχεία που σίγουρα θα τα δούμε σε μοντέλα της εταιρίας στο μέλλον. Στο εσωτερικό κυριαρχεί το μινιμαλιστικό στοιχείο, χωρίς κανέναν διακόπτη, με όλες τις λειτουργίες του να γίνονται μέσω οθονών. Το υλικό που κυριαρχεί είναι το ξύλο ενώ σύμφωνα με τη Nissan έχει χρησιμοποιηθεί εκτυπωτής 3D για την σχεδίαση των πολύ ιδιαίτερων καθισμάτων με αναφορές στην ιαπωνική φιλοσοφία.

Το πρωτότυπο εφοδιάζεται με μία αναβαθμισμένη έκδοση του Nissan ProPilot το οποίο επιτρέπει πλήρως αυτόνομη οδήγησης. Μόλις ο οδηγός επιλέξει αυτή την λειτουργία, το τιμόνι “αποθηκεύεται” στο ταμπλό και τα καθίσματα μπορούν να γυρίσουν αντικρυστά το ένα προς το άλλο. Μόλις απενεργοποιηθεί αυτή η λειτουργία τόσο το τιμόνι, όσο και οι θέσεις των επιβατών επιστρέφουν στην κανονική τους κατάσταση.

Το συγκεκριμένο concept χρησιμοποιεί την EV πλατφόρμα της εταιρίας η οποία επιτρέπει λόγω της τοποθέτησης των μπαταριών κάτω από το πάτωμα την δημιουργία μιας ιδιαίτερα μεγάλης καμπίνας για τους επιβάτες και χαμηλό κέντρο βάρους. Η ισχύς παρέχεται από δύο ηλεκτρικά μοτέρ, ένα για τους εμπρός και έναν για τους πίσω τροχούς. Η συνολική ισχύς τους φθάνει στους 429 ίππους και η ροπή τα 700 Νm χάρη σε μία μεγάλης χωρητικότητας μπαταρία η οποία επιπλέον επιτρέπει και μία αυτονομία της τάξης των 600 χλμ., αρκετά μεγαλύτερη από το υπάρχον Leaf.
