Μία σπέσιαλ Porsche 911 από τις Singer και Williams

Η αμερικανική Singer συνεργάστηκε με την Williams Advanced Engineering για να προκύψει μία πανέμορφη κλασική 911 που θα κατασκευαστεί σε μόλις 75 μονάδες…

Από τις πολλές αναβαθμίσεις που υπάρχουν -τόσο σε οπτικό, όσο και σε μηχανικό επίπεδο- ξεχωρίζει η πράσινη βαφή, τα custom φωτιστικά σώματα και φυσικά το ιδιαίτερο σαλόνι με τα μπάκετ καθίσματα και τον race επιλογέα. Το όλο πρότζεκτ αποκαλείται DLS (Dynamics and Lightweight Study) και συμμετείχαν διάφοροι προμηθευτές, όπως η Michelin, η Brembo και η BBW Motorsport για να δημιουργηθεί μία ονειρεμένη εκδοχή μιας Porsche 964 του 1990 (η οποία είχε γίνει παραγγελία από έναν πελάτη της Singer, αλλά το αποτέλεσμα ήταν τόσο πετυχημένο για να δρομολογηθούν στο Oxfordshire της Βρετανίας ακόμη 75 τέτοια εξατομικευμένα «πορσικά»).

Η Williams ανέλαβε την αναβάθμιση του ατμοσφαιρικού 4-κύλινδρου boxer των 4.000 κ.εκ. που αποδίδει 500 άλογα που επιμελήθηκε και ένας θρυλικός μηχανικός της Porsche, ο Hans Mezger, που επέλεξε ένα 6άρι μηχανικό κιβώτιο της Hewland. Χάρη στην χρήση πανάλαφρων υλικών (μαγνήσιο, τιτάνιο και κάρμπον) Το απόβαρο δεν ξεπερνά τα 990 κιλά, ενώ η αεροδυναμική έχει νέα μελέτη CFD με νέα πίσω πτέρυγα και διαχύτη. Στην εξέλιξη της σούπερ πράσινης 911 που βλέπετε συμμετείχε ο αγωνιζόμενος Marino Franchitti, καθώς και ο πολύς Chris Harris που παρουσιάζει και την εκπομπή Top Gear.
