H Mercedes GLC F-CELL είναι το πρώτο plug-in με ενεργειακές κυψέλες καυσίμου [vid]

Στην επικαιρότητα μπορεί να βρίσκονται τα κλασικά EV με μπαταρίες, αλλά σε αυτά που θα μπορούσε να εξελιχθεί μακροπρόθεσμα η ηλεκτροκίνηση είναι τα γνωστά fuel cells…

H Daimler (όπως και οι περισσότεροι κατασκευαστές) μπορεί να επενδύει βραχυπρόθεσμα στα BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle), αλλά μακροπρόθεσμα οι ειδικοί (και εμείς μαζί) εκτιμούν πως θα επικρατήσουν τα οχήματα με κυψέλες καυσίμου ή fuel cell (το μεγάλο ζήτημα είναι η αποδοτική/οικολογική παραγωγή H2 και ο ανασχηματισμός του ενεργειακού ιστού διανομής ως καύσιμο).

Ένα ενδεικτικό τέτοιο όχημα είναι η GLC F-Cell που παρουσιάστηκε στην Φρανκφούρτη και συνδυάζει κυψέλες με μπαταρίες και δυνατότητα plug-in φόρτισης (στην πρίζα). Έτσι, από την συνδυασμένη αυτονομία των περίπου 440 χλμ., τα 50 είναι από τις μπαταρίες των 13,8 kWh που μαζί με τον ηλεκτροκινητήρα βρίσκονται στον πίσω άξονα.

Λίγο πιο μπροστά είναι τοποθετημένες οι δεξαμενές υδρογόνου με συνολική χωρητικότητα 4,4 κιλών H2 και χρόνο ανεφοδιασμού στα 3 λεπτά, όταν οι μπαταρίες χρειάζονται 1,5 ώρες με ταχυφόρτιση και στο 100% του φορτίου τους. Σύμφωνα με την Mercedes η συστοιχία των κυψελών είναι 30% πιο κόμπακτ από της B-Class F-Cell, ενώ η ισχύς του συστήματος πρόωσης φτάνει τους 200 ίππους και τα 350 Nm ροπής.
